The DeepVision BR-ROV sidescan sonar is a specifically developed to be used on the BlueROV2 ROV. It is a slimmed down version of the DeepVision ROV Sonar that matches the Blue ROV price range.
The BR-ROV sonar consists of 2 parts, the sonar box and transducers and the power switch. The Sonar box and transducers are mounted on the outside of the ROV and are delivered with a moulded penetrator and connector for fast integration. The power switch plugs in to the power of the BlueRov and is connected in series between the fathom-x module and Raspberry Pi.
When Powered up the sonar will be automatically detected by the Deepview LT Software and is ready to use.
The BR-ROV sonar transducers are using frequency of 680 kHz for High Res and operates down to 100m depth. The stability of the BlueRov platform allows for max range of 50 meters per side. a total of 100m swath.
